Visitor Information

Because Hawaii is such a popular vacation site, there are numerous individuals and groups that inquire about Hawaii Conference properties for use during their planned stay.  Additionally, it is not uncommon for numerous groups to be visiting Hawaii at the same time, and this can easily become an accomodation burden to the Hawaii Conference churches and schools.  If you are planning on visiting Hawaii, please note the following information:

  • Hawaii Conference churches and schools do not have facilities for overnight visitors. The Hawaii Conference does not arrange nor help visitors with travel plans or with special rates for flights or hotels. Please contact a travel agent or a travel website for your travel assistance. Visitors should have reservations for housing before coming to Hawaii.

  • Most  Hawaii Conference churches have potlucks on Sabbath for visitors. Groups of more than 10 people should bring food, or contact the church well in advance, in order that adequate quantities of food will be available for the group.  Donations are always appreciated.  Some churches may require a donation for large groups.

  • All schools who wish to visit Hawaii must fill out the "Hawaii Trip Clearance Form" (see link below) and/or contact the Education Department for instructions. Please do not contact churches or schools directly to arrange for concerts or visits. The Hawaii Conference Education Department will assist with these arrangements.

    • Hawaii Trip Clearance Form  (You may fill out this document online and then you can print (save) it as a pdf file to your computer and then send it as an e-mail attachment. Or, you can print it out and either fax to 808-595-2345 or mail to the Superintendent at the Hawaii Conference, 2728 Pali Highway  Honolulu, HI  96817.

  • There are three possible Hawaii Conference sites for overnight guests:
    • For Adventist visitors to Kauai, please contact Kahili Mountain Park for rental cabins. Because only Adventists are allowed to rent the cabins, the prices are already discounted. Visitors to Kahili Mountain Park will find this to be a beautiful and restful spot to vacation.
    • Hawaiian Mission Academy has two guest rooms available on a limited basis during the school year, and the dormitory is sometimes available during the summer for possible rental. Contact the school for more information (808-536-2207.) The gymnasium is NOT available for groups to use during the school year.
    • Camp Waianae, on the leeward side of Oahu, is available for groups. There are several group cabins and a dinning hall for rental. Please contact the conference office directly (808-595-7591) for more information and reservations.
